The VW season is upon us again and it is time to think about those events throughout the year. 2008 saw the first Shoe County September Sleepover held at Billing Aquadrome in Northampton. In 2009 and 2010 the event moved to the excellent Grendon Hall in Northamptonshire and here attendance was excellent helped by the good weather and we are hoping for more of the same in 2011.
This year the event is again held for Charity and this year we are sharing the charity donations between Crazy Hats Breast Cancer and The Multiple Sclerosis Trust. The Hall is an impressive stately home with beautiful grounds and fantastic facilities for camping. We have secured the venue at a special cost, ensuring as much money can go to the charities as is possible. The organisers make no money from the event and we rely on volunteers and donations to ensure income for the charity is kept to a maximum and expenditure is kept to a minimum

So just when you thought the season was over, a gem pops up like the SCSS 11 to give that camping gear and BBQ one more airing before it goes back in the shed for another cold winter.
